Trex Aviation Systems, the company that produce the FOD Finder system have a Facebook company page (link). It currently contains images of their FOD Finder system, images of FOD detected by their system, and some general industry news.
As far as I’m aware they are the first of the 4 FOD detection companies to join the social networking site. I think it’s a good move for Trex, they can add information quickly and get feedback in the form of comments. It might seem trivial, but there are big advantages with this sort of site over a traditional company website, which is typically static and lacks any form of user interaction. It shows that Trex are keen to build a community around their product and interact with users, potential customers, and anyone interested in their product in a public forum…..well done Trex.
